This program takes 12 hours to complete, and it involves instruction from state-licensed drug and alcohol abuse counselors. Staff members can also refer participants to treatment programs.

When Do I Need to Complete DUI Class in Tennessee?

DUI classes could be mandatory for those convicted of DUIs. A judge might order you to complete one of these programs, whether it is your first offense or not. For example, a judge might order you to complete 12 hours of DUI classes. Although this might seem daunting, most prefer this type of penalty to jail time.

You might also choose to participate in a DUI class in order to secure a plea deal. For example, your attorney might advise you to plead guilty and suggest DUI classes as an alternative to jail time. This could be the right call, particularly if you face serious consequences for your DUI.

You Might Not Need to Complete DUI Classes
