Jacob D. Flatt
Jacob D. Flatt is an attorney in Murfreesboro, Tennessee who practices family law, criminal defense, and probate law.
Jacob attended Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee from 2008-2009, where he majored in criminal justice and was a member of the baseball team. Jacob received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2012. While at MTSU, Jacob gained valuable legal experience by interning for the Rutherford County District Attorney’s Office.
Jacob continued to pursue his passion for the law by attending the Nashville School of Law, where he earned his law degree in 2016. While attending law school at night, he worked full time as a court officer for Judge Ben Hall McFarlin, Jr. for over four years. His position as a court officer for Judge McFarlin allowed him to work professionally with other judges, attorneys, and litigants, and taught him the ins and outs of General Sessions Court.
